Charlotte, NC (Hybrid)About the RoleWe're looking for a Tier III Network Operations Engineer to join our team as the go-to expert for troubleshooting and resolving complex network issues across WAN, LAN, routing, switching, and wireless technologies. This is a hands-on troubleshooting/break-fix role requiring a strong understanding of network protocols and operational support for enterprise-grade network environments. You'll need a solid grasp of TCP/IP, routing, switching, wireless, and general datacenter and network security concepts. Familiarity with network automation and monitoring tools is a strong plus. We're looking for a self-starter who thrives with minimal supervision and works well in small, Agile-driven teams. What You'll DoSupport internal data networks with a focus on improving reliabilityTroubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless network performance issuesPerform troubleshooting and analysis of appliances such as firewalls and WAN acceleratorsProvide timely resolution to trouble ticketsContribute to and participate in network improvement initiativesParticipate in on-call rotation dutiesCollaborate across all tiers of the operations organizationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Information Technology from a four-year collegeIn addition to required degree, minimum 2 years of related work experienceIn lieu of a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of related experience: High School/GED plus minimum 6 years of related work experienceProficiency in understanding, configuring, and troubleshooting networking protocols and technologiesAbility to troubleshoot complex routing and switching issuesKnowledge of LAN/WAN technologies, including VLANs, Ethernet, MPLS, ACI, ISE, and SD-WANExperience with ACI fabric configuration and troubleshooting, including spine and leaf switches, Application Policy Infrastructure Controllers (APICs), and tenant configurationsFamiliarity with wireless standards, wireless security protocols, and wireless network configuration/troubleshootingProficiency with network monitoring tools to proactively identify and resolve performance issues (e.g., ThousandEyes, LiveAction, SolarWinds, Wireshark)Strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve network connectivity and performance issues in a timely mannerExperience performing Cisco IOS updatesCommitment to continuous learning and staying current with networking trends, technologies, and best practicesPreferred QualificationsIndustry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or Network+Prior experience providing Tier 2 network operations support1+ years of experience with Microsoft Windows Operating Systems and MS OfficeAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsEffective interpersonal skills (active listening, conflict management, approachability, negotiation)Ability to prioritize effectively and focus team efforts based on priorityTo Apply for this Job Click HereEqual Employment Opportunity StatementGravity IT Resources is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
