Req178324Position PurposeThe Senior Inventory Supervisor works with the Inventory Management Team to identify training needs and develop and deliver training to Inventory Supervisors both individually and in group settings. He/she also assists with inventory by overseeing the execution and quality of the physical inventory process for the company, including responsibility for ensuring proper cutoffs and quality of inventory counts to obtain an accurate inventory. In addition, the Senior Inventory Supervisor assists as necessary with developing and conducting audits and compliance reviews.This person would ideally be located in Cleveland, OH, Washington, D.C., New York, NY, Pittsburgh or Philadelphia, PA*Key Responsibilities25% Conduct initial training as well as perform final suitability sign-off for all newly hired Inventory Supervisors25% Lead the inventory day process, perform key cutoff procedures, certify the accuracy and integrity of the physical inventory and communicate inventory results to all levels of management15% Create and execute store audits and compliance reviews15% Develop, schedule, and deliver training to the Inventory Team on all new store and / or inventory initiatives10% In partnership with Inventory Management, responsible for determining training objectives, instructional strategies, timeframes, resource requirements and potential constraints as well as conducting the research, design and development of training courses, job aids and reference manuals to meet the developmental objectives of the Internal Audit Inventory Team10% Provide training to store associates and management on all inventory day proceduresDirect Manager/Direct ReportsPosition reports to Inventory ManagerNo associates report to this role on a permanent basis, but requires the leadership of a work group: assign and review work, train and contribute to performance appraisal (but not hiring, firing or disciplinary action).Travel RequirementsTypically requires overnight travel more than 50% of the time.Physical RequirementsMust continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8-20 pounds).Working ConditionsUsually in a comfortable environment but with regular exposure to factors causing moderate physical discomfort from such things as dust, fumes or odors.Minimum QualificationsMust be eighteen years of age or older.Must be legally permitted to work in the United States.Preferred QualificationsBachelor's degree preferred2 years The Home Depot Inventory experience preferredMinimum EducationThe knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a high school diploma and/or GED.Preferred EducationNo additional educationMinimum Years Of Work Experience2Preferred Years Of Work ExperienceNo additional years of experienceMinimum Leadership ExperienceNonePreferred Leadership ExperienceNoneCertificationsNoneCompetenciesKnowledge of all areas of store operations and store inventory prep proceduresStrong written and verbal communication skillsSkill in motivating, developing, and directing associatesAbility to manage multiple tasks at once and prioritize work; strong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to coordinate and work with intra- and inter-departmental parties and to develop and manage work plans and timelines as well as prepare status updates for Inventory Team Management relating to team trainingAbility to make decisions independentlyApply End Date: 04/28/2026
