The counselor will guide and support high school students through the college admissions process, assisting with college applications, essay review, and selection of appropriate academic and extracurricular opportunities. Responsibilities include providing guidance on college readiness, financial aid navigation, and scholarship applications, while maintaining strong relationships with students, parents, faculty, and college representatives. The counselor will also conduct workshops, maintain resources related to college admissions, and ensure that students have access to the tools necessary to achieve their post-secondary education goals.QualificationsProficiency in College Counseling and expertise in navigating College ApplicationsExperience in counseling High School Students regarding academic and personal growthKnowledge of Student Financial Aid processes, including scholarships and financial planning for collegesStrong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skillsBachelor’s degree in counseling, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)Familiarity with the college admissions landscape and trendsExperience in a school setting or with student development is a plus
