Job SummaryThe Trailer Washer performs routing cleaning and helps in the plant daily operations under management supervision.Essential Duties/ResponsibilitiesNothing in this job description restricts management's right to assign or reassign duties and responsibilities to this job at any time.Assists in the daily logs that are kept for CGMP'sAssists the Production Supervisor and/or other personnel on special job duties or projectsFollows plant CGMP policiesTrains with other plant personnel on PM's and daily work activitiesTrains on the plant equipment to include the forklift and boom liftsTrains on driving tractor/trailer equipment and parking in wash bayMaintains clean, neat and orderly work areas at all timesResponsible for using assigned safety equipment including a hard hat, safety goggles, ear plugs and responsible for being familiar with and observing all company safety rules and regulationsAttends regularly scheduled safety meetings and may be asked to serve on Safety CommitteeAll other duties as assigned.Minimum QualificationsMust be 18 years of age.Must be able to work nights and weekends as needed.Preferred QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferred.Ability to accurately follow oral and written instructions.Basic knowledge of general housekeeping and sanitation procedures.General mechanical aptitude.Demonstrate good working knowledge of industrial equipment.Physical DemandsFrequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.Frequently must push, pull, move or lift up to 100 lbs.Regularly required reach with hands and arms.Work EnvironmentJob functions will be carried out in a rendering facility which requires tolerance for wet, dry, dusty and/or slippery floors and high heat or cold temperatures.Darling Ingredients is an equal opportunity employer and gives consideration to qualified applicants without regard to race, color, creed, religion, age, pregnancy, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, genetic information, physical or mental disability, military service, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by applicable federal, state and local law.
