Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Cardiovascular OR (CVOR) position requiring at least 1 year of surgical services experience, with a 4x10 day shift schedule and on-call responsibilities.Job Details• Hospital-based CVOR setting with a broad surgical scope including general, OB/GYN, plastic, ENT, ophthalmology, CV/thoracic, laparoscopic, urology, robotic, orthopedic (including total joints), neuro/spine, and endoscopic procedures (bronchoscopy, colonoscopy, EGD, EBUS, EUS, enteroscopy, ERCP, flexible sigmoidoscopy),• Day shift schedule: 4x10-hour shifts, 6:45 AM - 5:15 PM,• Every other weekend required,• On-call requirement of approximately 10-12 call shifts per 6-week schedule,• Floating within scope of practice to other units and a nearby sister facility as needed,Job Requirements• Active GA or Compact RN license required,• Minimum 1 year of OR/surgical services experience required,• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred,• All required certifications must be current and on file,Additional Information• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,• Local candidates are accepted for this position,• RTO is limited to a maximum of 7 days; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment,• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them with no holiday RTO permitted; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two and may request one holiday off for approval,• Major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,• No schedule change requests are permitted - the posted shift is firm,• Travelers who have previously worked at any facility within this health system must have been away for a full year before returning as a traveler,• Full compliance with onboarding requirements is required to start on time; delays in compliance may result in a two-week start date pushback due to a bi-weekly orientation schedule,• No special scheduling requests or alternate shifts will be accommodated
