Lead Cook - Triple George Grill

POSITION SUMMARY:It is the primary responsibility of the Lead Line Cook to role model our customer service commitment, ensuring the delivery of high-quality products, maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming environment. The Lead Line Cook is responsible for confidently running shifts that creates the Downtown Grand experience. All duties are to be performed in accordance with the department and Downtown Grand policies, practices and procedures.SECTION 2: POSITION RESPONSIBILITIESPOSITION RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:Assists with opening and closing the outlet.Works on assigning positions and uses appropriate routines.Ensures food and product is visually appealing, stocked and appropriately labeled to department standards.Rotate and stock product in accordance with shift needs.Assists in product Periodic Automatic Replenishment (PARS) inventory maintenance.Conducts weekly product inventory control.Maintains daily temperature logs.Ensures compliance with Southern Nevada Health District Codes and Regulations.Performs other job-related duties as assigned.SECTION 3: COMPETENCIES & WORKING CONDITIONSMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum of 2 years of experience as a lead line cook including experience with Broiler and Sauté Stations.Strong customer service skills.Willingness to take on additional tasks as needed and adjust to the needs of the kitchen during service.Experience working in a fast-paced environment.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:Knowledge of coffee and the use and maintenance of espresso machines.Ability to work efficiently under pressure, maintain attention to detail, and deliver consistent quality even during busy service periods.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well as part of a team.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Must be able to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.Must be able to comprehend all information and documentation.Ability to always communicate effectively, with various departments and all levels of leadership.Ability to solve routine concerns.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.Must be able to stand for long periods of time.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.Ability to work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of noise, crowds, and smoke.Follow all safety procedures as established by the company.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties to be performed by the team member in this position.
