Radio Optimization Engineer

Position: 5G Network Planning & Optimization SME Duration: 6 months contract to begin with w/ chances of extension (may vary depending upon Customer’s requirements)Start Date: Mostly in November 2024Work Locations: Remote position for candidates based in the US with valid work authorization Job Description: Work closely and collaboratively with the Customer point of contact (“PoC”) as a subject matter consultantAttend key meetings with the PoC to contribute perspective and take on action itemsComplete and deliver all action itemsOperate with initiative and proactively join any meetings or initiatives required to meet the goals of improving the processes and regulatory complianceManage multiple tasks by multi-tasking and accomplish goals by working across the organization with various teamsSupport Customer RF Regional wireless network and field-testing team to perform successful testing in ongoing integration and production environmentStrong understanding of VoNR, VoLTE, SIP and RTWP to execute the troubleshooting sessions with 3rd Party or Vendor deploy/GDC teamsExperience with 5G NSA/SA deployments from global markets with a focus on improving the performance and user experience with in-depth understanding of features and parametersCan analyze and fix discrepancies in a network auditLeading the field testing with tools – TEMS Investigation, route planning, designing test cases (mobility / stationary) and analyzing the output of field testingPost processing with tools like Actix, TEMS Discovery etc.Provide analyze internal eNB/gNB, UE logs analysis for quick troubleshooting and issue resolution4G/5G RAN performance investigationPerformance investigation with other technical teams, by opening a Teams bridge and participatingProvide monthly summary report of the Site Launches, SSV (Single Site Verification), SSP (Single Site Performance) reports and performance improvement Services performed in required format with KPIs and analysis for SSV reports (coordination activities), SSP reports (KPIs monitoring and optimization if performed), Drive Test completed reports (Overall Summaries), Sites On-Air reports (Overall Summaries) Minimum Qualifications/Experience/Requirements: Must be a US citizen, GC or have valid work permit to work in the USBachelor’s Degree in EE is requiredMinimum 5 years’ experience in 4G LTE and 5G NR Optimization and troubleshootingTools expertise required – NetAct, Actix, TrueCall, MapInfo, TEMS Discovery, TEMS Investigation, XCAL, XCAP etc.Must have knowledge & experience on Nokia tools, parameters, counters, KPI etc.Experience with T-Mobile projects (Preferred)Implementation of new features/parameters and tuning 5G radio network parametersDrive Test Log Analysis to trouble shoot and improve KPIsGood knowledge of 5GNR and LTE KPIs with expertise in creating and analysis of statistical KPI reportingExcellent communication skills
