The RCD duties also include problem-solving Resident concerns and coordinating care with Caregivers.Minimum Eligibility Requirements:Ability to communicate effectively with Residents, families, staff, vendors, and the general publicMust have compassion for and desire to work with the elderly and understand that for each resident the facility is considered the Resident's homeMust demonstrate the ability to work responsibly as a team member as well as an individualMust be honest, ethical, fair, dependable, respect confidentiality and the rights and privacy of othersMust meet all health requirementsMust pass a criminal background checkMust be able to perform duties and responsibilities (essential job functions), with or without reasonable accommodationEssential Functions:Caregiver scheduling and resident assignments, working within the department allowancesCoordinate admissions with marketing and Administrator to be sure accommodations are as delivered and care is immediately implementedFamily/Resident admission interviewsImmediately bring prohibited conditions or at-risk Residents in need of higher level of care to the attention of the AdministratorCoordinate care planning within community policyArrange transportation as desired by the ResidentArrange for resident special needs involving other departments, verifying follow throughFunction as a liaison with families ensuring particular needs/requests/complaints are addressedInform the Executive Director, in writing and verbally, of all family or Resident complaintsMonitor staff performance, providing or arranging assistance as neededRead all communication notes regarding the community between the caregiver shiftsCoordinate staff training and in-service schedules with the AdministratorSupervise the medication room and orders, working with the supervising Medication Aides and CaregiversOther duties assignedRequired to stay alert and attentive during scheduled work hoursCustomer Service:Responsible for ensuring that all employees are providing excellent customer service to internal and external customersPerform job duties for Residents and with team members in a courteous and professional mannerTaking the initiative to ensure resident safety and satisfaction is a priorityMeet and greet visitors in a friendly, helpful mannerCommunicate professionally and cooperate with the supervisor and all community personnelResidents Rights:Ensure compliance and understanding of all regulations regarding residents' rightsWorking Conditions:Scheduled hours; possible overtimeSubject to frequent interruptionsIs involved with residents, personnel, and visitors under all conditions and circumstancesIs subject to callback during emergency conditionsPhysical/Sensory Requirements:Medium work: the ability to exert 10-35 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objectsMust be able to move intermittently throughout the dayMust function independently and have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with Residents and staffMust be able to relate to and work with the ill, disabled, elderly, emotionally upset, and at times, hostile people within the community
