Senior Materials Engineer

Job Description We're looking for a smart, creative battery engineer with a background in chemical engineering or material sciences who is passionate about actually making a big impact in the world. You will be doing a lot, and learning a LOT, in this role!Minimum qualifications (applicants not meeting these will unfortunately not be eligible for the role):2+ years work experience in material science (ceramics processing, thin film fabrication) and/or chemical engineering (electrochemistry, transport) OR a Masters/PhD with research conducted in any of these topics (coursework only not eligible)Able to work for any US employer without visa sponsorshipDriver's license and access to reliable vehicle for local transportProficient in Microsoft Suite (Excel, Powerpoint, Word)Heavily preferred qualifications6+ months wet lab experienceBachelor Degree in Chemical Engineering/Material Science Engineering with 7+ years' experience, OR Master's in same topics with 4+ years experience, OR PhD in same topicsElectrochemistry experience, either in academic research or work experience (CV, EIS, Battery cycling, MEA/GDE assembly, pouch cell fabrication)Tape casting, thin film fabrication, roll-to-roll processing experienceCAD and 3D printing experienceCeramic heat treatment experience
