Human Resources Generalist - BenefitsRole: Human Resources Generalist - BenefitsSummary: This position will be responsible for administration of all employee benefits including health, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance; leaves of absence including FMLA, employee sick bank, optical reimbursements; onboarding of new employees; and other duties as assigned by the Human Resources Director.Salary Schedule: Commensurate with degree and/or experience in alignment with the CO HR Generalist pay scale.Education And/or ExperienceBachelors in Human Resources or related field preferred, but not requiredMinimum of 2 years of general Human Resources experienceMust have good communication skills, both verbal and writtenMust be able to multitask and be a team playerEssential Duties and Responsibilities: The following functions are normal for the position. These functions are not to be construed as exclusive or all inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned. Reports regularly to the Human Resources Director.Perform general office duties such as answering phones and greeting visitors within the department (and in the front office as needed), filing, etc.Onboard all new employeesProcess insurance enrollments ensuring timeliness of submissionsProcess qualifying mid-year plan changes due to SQECoordinate open enrollment periods for all insurance plansProcess terminations of employmentReview monthly billing discrepancies and submit explanations/corrections to payrollCoordinate the collection of past due insurance deductionsUpdate employee information in all systems as neededReview and process all leaves of absences for FMLA qualification and/or disability benefitsComplete and mail FMLA paperwork to recipients in a timely mannerReceive and review FMLA paperwork and track usageCoordinate the completion and submission of disability claim formsCoordinate the completion and submission of life claim formsOversee the Employee Sick Bank program by coordinating the membership enrollment period, processing the membership forms, and updating spreadsheetsPrepare reimbursements for the optical reimbursement program for Accounting to processReview and submit employer responses for unemployment claimsAssist with monthly substitute trainingOther duties as assignedPhysical Demands: This job may require lifting objects that exceed 25 lbs., with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 lbs.
