They will oversee the second shift entirely keeping the Care Center Manager abreast of second shift operations and overseeing the deployment of corporate strategic plans of operations for second shift, including effective and efficient processes, quality, productivity, customer service, team member engagement and operational excellence.Duties & ResponsibilitiesOwnership over all second shift operations at the Care CenterEnsure all activities on second shift are performed safely and that the Care Center is maintained in a compliant stateUtilize Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to set objectives and drive Care Center performanceAnalyze daily and weekly demand signals (intake) and manage on-time fulfillment of orders.Coordinate labor requirements against demandCoordinate tools, operating supplies, packaging materials and products required to fulfill demandResolve order exceptions as they arise, collaborating with appropriate team members to drive resolutionMonitor pending deliveries and expedite past-due deliveriesEnsure that all Health and Safety and Human Resource initiatives and procedures are implemented and managed appropriately during second shiftVerify timecards of direct reports to ensure accurate payrollCoordinate or conduct training for all new and existing team members, including new hire training, PeT specific trainingDevelop strong relationships with second shift team members and other stakeholdersEnsure that work equipment is in good working orderParticipate in routine audits and continuous improvement activitiesGive input and direction to the hiring, promotion and separation of direct report positionsEnsure that all Operational Excellence initiatives and procedures are implemented and managed appropriately at the Care CenterModel and reinforce Gateway’s operational standards by deploying policies, standards, and procedures.Audit the Care Center to identify and close gaps versus Gateway’s standards.Be able to perform all operations and customer service duties including, but not limited to loading and unloading crematoriums, processing cremains, packaging, quality control and servicing a route as a driver/customer service representative.Additional duties as assigned.Education, Training & QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentCertified in Pet CremationAchieved hybrid status with relevant Grow with Gateway training completedSkills & AbilitiesDemonstrated ability to work all positions in the crematoryAbility to motivate and empower team membersAble to work independently with minimal supervisionExcellent communication and personal skills, with the ability to build lasting relationships with stakeholdersAbility to prioritize tasks and manage conflicting demandsDemonstrated ability to identify key issues and propose practical solutionsHigh level of integrity and work ethicWorking Conditions Regularly bending, stooping, crouching, kneeling, sitting, repetitive motion, hand/wrist/finger motion.Occasionally lifting/moving 100+ lbs. with accommodationRegular exposure to high noise environments.Regular exposure to high heat environments.Regular handling of deceased pets.Some weekend work maybe required.YOU’LL LOVE WORKING WITH US BECAUSE:The People.
