Production Technician II
What you’ll do:This position calls for a well-organized person who enjoys working with technology and people. The preferred candidate will exhibit strong attention to detail and be very proficient working with electromechanical assemblies. Candidates who show initiative, help improve our processes, and meet schedules will have opportunities to advance. Additional details about what you will be doing includes:Accurately and safely assemble electromechanical assemblies in accordance with drawings, written, or verbal instructions, which may include the following tasks:Solder, strip, crimp, splice electrical wiresBuild mechanical subassemblies using a variety of fastening methods Torque fasteners to proper spec and in proper sequenceRoute cables and securing wiring throughout systemsProperly and consistently attach labels or name plates to assemblies, components, or cablesMeasure dimensions to verify proper clearance of partsSafely use standard assembly tooling (hex wrenches, screw drivers, wire cutters, wire strippers, torque tools, etc.)Use appropriate tooling/fixtures to aid in proper assemblyRead and understand electrical schematicsInspect and test subassemblies, which may include the following tasks:Verify mechanical functionality, where appropriateTest for electrical continuity using a voltmeterRead and understand bill of material structure; escalate errors or discrepancies to appropriate personnelCapable of lifting and carrying 50 poundsCommunicates ideas and facts in a professional manner to all stakeholders, which may both include internal and external customersPerform intermediate/advanced troubleshooting for electromechanical assemblies (motors, cables, electrical panels, mechanical assemblies)Operate and maintain test fixtures, devices, and test cablesPerform field service, as neededWhy join us?Olympus Controls (olympus-controls.com) is committed to attracting, training, and retaining a talented team.
