Conflicts Attorney

We are currently recruiting for a Conflicts Attorney with at least two years of law firm experience. This role works closely with the Firm’s General Counsel and Conflicts team to manage, research, and monitor potential conflicts and risk management matters, helping to prevent legal and business conflicts across the firm.This position is based in the Miami office with a hybrid schedule.Key Responsibilities:Review and analyze new matters to identify potential conflicts of interestWork closely with Firm professionals and the General Counsel’s office to gather relevant information and assess conflictsApply the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct, other applicable ethical rules, and Firm policies to determine whether conflicts exist and identify potential resolutions, including waivers or other alternativesDraft, review, and finalize waiver letters, disclosures, engagement agreements, and termination letters on a matter-by-matter basisCommunicate with and advise attorneys, secretaries, and other Firm personnel on established conflicts policies and proceduresConsult with the Conflicts Manager on procedural issues affecting the Conflicts DepartmentAssist with onboarding new hires by reviewing conflict reports, requesting additional information, and coordinating with practice group leadership and the General Counsel regarding conflicts, waivers, and ethical wallsConfirm the need for ethical walls and coordinate their implementation with the General CounselPrioritize and manage multiple requests while coordinating with other team members to ensure timely handling of mattersAdvise attorneys and incoming professionals on conflicts of interest issues and resolutionsAssist the General Counsel with additional projects as neededQualificationsJD requiredMember of a U.S. Bar in good standingStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under deadline pressureThis is an excellent opportunity for an attorney interested in building a long-term career in conflicts and risk management within a collaborative, sophisticated law firm environment.Must be admitted to and in good standing with the Florida Bar.For immediate consideration please reply to this ad!
