Production Welder

Production WelderWe are seeking a skilled welder proficient in MIG welding techniques to join our team. You will be responsible for welding trailer components using processes such as gas metal arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc. The role involves operating welding gear safely, examining workpieces for defects, and ensuring quality standards are met. You will also be required to lay out, position, align, and secure parts before assembly, and monitor the welding processes to prevent overheating and material distortion. Additionally, you will maintain and organize your workstation and equipment.Responsibilities:Use MIG welding technique to weld trailer components, including gas metal arc, plasma arc, and shielded metal arc processes.Operate welding gear and equipment safely.Examine workpieces for defects and notify supervisor of any concerns.Perform repairs as needed to ensure quality standards are met.Use measuring tapes, combination squares, and levels to lay out, position, align, and secure parts before assembly.Monitor fitting, burning, and welding processes to avoid overheating, warping, shrinking, distortion, or expansion of material.Sign off on completed work orders and ensure quality of work.Maintain, organize, and clean workstation and equipment.Essential Skills:Proficiency in using hand tools and grinder.Experience in manufacturing and welding.Ability to read and interpret blueprints.Expertise in MIG welding, TIG welding, and fabrication.Knowledge of stainless steel and carbon steel welding.Experience with grinding, FCAW, and arc welding.Proficient in using tape measure and flux core techniques.Why Work Here?Join a company that truly cares about its employees, offering opportunities for training and development. Desired wire speed is 700 @24.5 Volts with bare wire thickness of.035. The B-shift offers unique perks, including a weekend schedule of three 12-hour days (FridaySunday), with shift differentials and attendance incentives. Overtime is paid for anything over 36 hours, with attendance requirements met.Job Type & Location:This is a Contract to Hire position based out of MARYVILLE, TN.Pay and Benefits:The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
