The Community Garden Coordinator will facilitate and manage the people and projects of the community garden for the duration of the calendar year. Flexible working hours.Background Check RequiredNoPrimary Duties1. Plan and prepare for growing season including seed orders, planting schedule, and seed germination2. Recruit, manage and track volunteers3. Complete necessary farm tasks, such as planting, weeding, watering, pest management and maintenance4. Organize and run market farm stands (including but not limited to mass emails, posters, word of mouth, etc.)5. Track income and expenses6. Collect data related to produce planted and create reports documenting the successes and failures of garden7. Coordinate care for campus chickens8. When necessary provide care to campus apiary9. Send emails to CSA and campus community for garden events/updates10. Update content for sustainability website and make Instagram/Facebook posts11. Document work of garden through photos, social media, etc.12. Attend garden events and functions such as work days and teammeetings13.
