With an industry-leading pipeline of projects, strong financial positioning, and talented employees, we look forward to our bright future!Job DescriptionThe Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) Technician is responsible for performing electrical and instrumentation repairs, installations, inspections, and preventative maintenance on electrical systems, machinery, and instrumentation equipment across the site. This role plays a critical part in ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant operations while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and company standards.Day To DayPerform preventative maintenance on electrical and instrumentation systems, including low-voltage equipment, and complete accurate maintenance documentationSafely operate and utilize electrical test equipment (e.g., megger, amp clamp, micro-ohm meter, calibration tools)Read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manuals; document work orders accurately in maintenance systemsApply working knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, and process control systemsInstall and maintain electrical and instrumentation components in accordance with NEC standardsTroubleshoot, repair, and calibrate electrical systems and instrumentation (e.g., sensors, thermocouples, RTDs) with supervisionIdentify and understand AC/DC motors, including components and configurationsUtilize shop tools and equipment, including conduit bending and threading toolsPerform safe rigging and lifting practices, including operating overhead cranesExecute all Technician 2 level responsibilities proficientlyIs This You??High school diploma or GED required; technical certification or associate degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, or a related field preferred2–5+ years of experience in electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance in an industrial, mining, or power plant environment (level dependent)Hands-on experience with low-voltage electrical systems (≤600V), motors, and basic power distributionExperience troubleshooting and maintaining instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level devices)Working knowledge of PLC systems and process control concepts preferredAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, P&IDs, and technical manualsFamiliarity with NEC standards and safe electrical installation practicesExperience using electrical testing and calibration equipment (e.g., megger, multimeter, amp clamp)Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and mechanical aptitudeWorking Conditions & EnvironmentRole is based at the Cripple Creek & Victor Mine, located in Teller County, Colorado.The Cripple Creek & Victor (CC&V) Mine site is located at elevations ranging from approximately 9,400 ft. to 10,600 ft. above sea level. Workers in this position are routinely exposed to conditions at various work sites throughout this range of elevations and must be physically capable of working at this altitude.Weather conditions can and do change frequently and can become severe at times.Ability to work safely in a mining or industrial environment and follow all safety procedures.Valid driver’s license required; ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, and weekends as needed.The summary provided is a basic outline of duties for the Electrical & Instrumentation Technician and is not all-inclusive. For applicants residing in CO, the hourly rate offered for this overtime-eligible role will depend on the level, and the range of the hourly rate is $47.30 (Tech 1) – 56.41 (Tech 4).
