Position Summary: Patient Registration greets Clinic patients and guests, answers phones, schedules appointments, completes registration for clinic visits and other clerical duties. Schedule: This is a Full Time position Monday – Friday during the operating hours of the Clinic/Hospital. Clinic/Hospital hours include: Monday 7am-7:00pm, Tuesday – Friday 8am-5:00pm. Qualifications: Education : Minimum of high school degree. Experience : Healthcare Experience preferred, but willing to train. Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus Specific Tasks & Responsibilities: Open clinic in morning and closes/lock clinic at end of day Greets and assists patients and visitors. Answers phone Registers patients for clinic and lab visits, obtaining accurate data and verifying insurance information. Maintains patient demographics & schedules in appropriate clinical software systems. Ensuring all necessary consent forms are signed. Schedules and coordinates appointments for clinic and lab. Receives & receipts payments from patients and manages cashbox according to facility process. Verify eligibility on insurance. Scans photo identification cards, insurance cards, HIPPA forms and additional items into EHR as requested. Continuous Quality Improvement Identifies opportunities to address improvement activities Works with the MH team to design and implement solutions Seeks self-development activities to improve knowledge and skills pertinent to MH goals Compliance Timely and accurate external reporting as applicable HIPPA privacy and security ABN/waiver process Other duties assigned.
