We are seeking a luxury jewelry store assistant to provide administrative and clerical support, handling tasks such as managing inventory, placing orders with vendors, managing the website, processing transactions, and assisting the sales staff. Also assist with customer service and showroom organization. Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills are essential for this role. Hours: 9:30 am - 6:00 pm Monday-Friday, an occasional Saturday During the holidays some nights & weekends Key Responsibilities: Customer Interaction:Answering phones, greeting visitors, and providing basic information about products and services. Administrative Tasks:Managing appointment schedules, maintaining client records, and handling basic monetary transactions. Inventory Management:Assisting with inventory control, including putting away jewelry and ensuring accurate tracking of sales and restocking. Clerical Duties:Filing documents, managing correspondence, and ordering office supplies. Showroom Support:Maintaining a clean and organized showroom, and potentially assisting with display and merchandising. Other Duties:responsibilities may include assisting with marketing efforts, preparing reports, or providing personal assistance to the owner or manager. Basic Housekeeping:Maintaining a tidy and organized workspace and assisting with general office upkeep. Essential Skills: Communication Skills:Clear and effective verbal and written communication is vital for interacting with customers and colleagues. Customer Service:Providing a positive and helpful experience for all customers is a key aspect of the role. Organizational Skills:The ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and maintain a well-organized workspace is crucial. Attention to Detail:Accuracy in handling transactions, inventory, and other administrative tasks is essential. Proficiency with Technology:Basic computer skills, including knowledge of point-of-sale systems and office software, are typically required. Jewelry Knowledge:Understanding of jewelry types, materials, and care is required for providing informed customer service.
