WHAT YOU’LL DO
The Maintenance Assistant will spend approximately 70% of the time performing grounds keeping duties of all properties. This responsibility includes grass mowing, trimming, trash removal, tree cutting, brush and debris removal, snow and ice removal, using power wash equipment, and learning preventative maintenance on equipment. The Maintenance Assistant will spend approximately 30% of the time completing maintenance requests and supporting the maintenance team.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform grounds keeping duties of all properties
Grass mowing, trimming, tree cutting, brush, debris trash removal
Perform snow and ice removal
Using power wash equipment
Learn preventative maintenance on various equipment
Maintenance requests from internal customers
Aid and support maintenance team
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
High School Diploma or GED required
Ability to pass a drug screen, background check and DOT Physical
Valid driver’s license and safe driving record
Knowledge of safe work methods with the ability to pull trailers and load/unload equipment safely
Any combination of education, training, and experience which demonstrates ability to perform the duties and responsibilities as described
Experience in building maintenance and repair and/or building trades preferred
Ability to work in confined or elevated spaces and in various types of weather conditions
Proven ability to follow instructions and prioritize work
Experience using GPS
Basic computer skills for email, timesheet entry and ticketing system logs
Ability to perform a variety of physical labor, including but not limited to: climbing ladders, bending, kneeling, reaching, and standing for long periods of time, lifting and carrying boxes, tools, equipment and materials
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Outdoors exposed to changing weather conditions or shielded from extreme weather
Indoors in both temperature-controlled (office space) and non-temperature-controlled environments (Ex. Open garage, warehouses, storage sheds, attics, crawl spaces, etc.)
Continuous use of hands and fingers
Often walking, standing, bending, squatting, kneeling, twisting, reaching, pulling, vision (close, distance, color, depth), talking, hearing, and lifting up to 30 pounds
Sometimes sitting, climbing, and lifting over 30 pounds
