Project Manager
Summary/ Objective:
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing various casework and architectural millwork projects from award through final closeout. This Role ensures projects are delivered on time, within budget, and according to shop drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The Project Manager serves as the primary liaison between general contractors, estimators, engineering, purchasing, production and field teams.
Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Coordination
Review project scope, architectural drawings, specifications, and contracts to identify requirements and risks.
Develop project schedules, milestones, and material procurement plans.
Coordinate with drafting/engineering to ensure accurate and timely shop drawings and submittals.
Facilitate handoff meetings with technical services and productions teams, including jobsite teams as necessary.
Client & Contractor Communication
Act as main point of contact for clients, architects, and general contractors.
Attend jobsite meetings; provide updates on schedule, changes, and progress.
Manage project-related correspondence, RFI’s, submittals, and field directives.
Manage customer and contractor expectations regarding schedules, shop capacity, deliveries, installation requirements, and risk mitigation.
Budget & Cost Management
Prepare and maintain project budgets, cost tracking, and forecasts.
Identify scope gaps and submit change orders as needed.
Review vendor quotes and approve purchasing of materials related to the project.
Prepare invoice documents for timely submittal. Manage change order documentation and billing.
Production & Installation Oversight
Coordinate with production supervisors to ensure products meet quality standards and ship according to schedule.
Clearly communicate any fabrication details and requirements that are critical to design intent, delivery and field installation.
Provide field teams with updated drawings, site conditions, and instructions.
Resolve field issues quickly to prevent project delays.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
Ensure all work complies with AWI standards (if applicable), shop capabilities, and customer specifications.
Perform site visits to verify field measurements and installation quality.
Manage punch lists, project closeout documents, and warranty items.

Qualifications Required
Minimum of 3 years of experience in Project Management.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, and blueprints.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Familiarity with Project Management Software and Microsoft Office.
Preferred
Experience in Architectural Millwork, Casework, Cabinetry, or Construction Project Management.
Strong understanding of Woodworking terminology, materials, hardware, and fabrication processes.
Knowledge of AWI standards and Woodworking best practices.
Experience with ERP systems used in Millwork (Innergy, Cabinet Vision, etc.).
Construction Management or Engineering background.
Position Type/ Expected Work Hours
This is a full-time position. Hours and Days of work are Monday through Thursday, 7:00 – 4:30, Friday, 8:00 – 12:00. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
