Kitting Machine Operator 2nd shift
Kitting OperatorFacilitate in the manufacture of quality friction brake pads through the final inspection and packaging of goods to the customer. Position duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:Prepare boxes and other packaging suppliesVisually check for lot cards marked "Accept" on pallet and verify product, paperwork, and labelsClose visual check for any problems with the product. Report any problems immediately to Lead/Supervisor, use Stop, Call, Wait and segregate any suspect productKeep the appropriate quantity of inspection samples open and place on top layer of pallet for QA pallet Audit for ToyotaUse appropriate "Inspection Standard" as a guideUsing standard, assemble kits, apply labels and stamp correct date on unit boxPlace completed unit box in sub-master boxLabel and stamp appropriate date code on sub-master box as required by pad typeComplete appropriate paperwork as units and sub-master cartons are completedKnow and follow correct operation procedure for each product line (example: Honda, Toyota, ADSMO, Mitsubishi)Visually check summary lot card for tappingStriping as requiredOperate Vision/Inkjet Machine along with PWIOperators are required to complete all check sheets requiredOperate PAD DETECTION MachineOperate stripe machine as directed to include machine setup (changing tips, purging tank), inspection of pad before and after stripe. Complete all required reports for production and/or qualityKnowledge/Experience/Skills:Follow all safety guidelines with special emphasis on correct lifting proceduresStrict adherence to 5S conceptNotify supervisor, quality personnel, and/or lead operator of quality problems identified during packing/kitting/or PWI proceduresComplete all paperwork to report productionWork environment involves moderate risks or discomforts which require special safety precautions (e.g., working around moving machines in production facilities) and protective clothing or gear such as safety glasses, gloves and safety shoes is required.Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
