Windows SQL Server Administrator
Job DescriptionRoles and ResponsibilitiesAdminister, maintain, and optimize Windows Server environments (2016/2019/2022).Manage Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and Windows patching.Monitor system performance; troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues.Implement, support, and maintain backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery plans.Install, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server environments.Write and optimize SQL queries and scripts to support automation and reporting.Collaborate with development and application teams to ensure system compatibility and optimal performance.Work with technical teams and management to address system issues and provide solutions.Maintain security best practices, including system hardening and vulnerability management.Produce and maintain documentation for system configurations, procedures, and change controls.Qualifications5–7 years of experience in Windows system administration in mid to large-scale environments.Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server (installation, maintenance, scripting, performance tuning).Proficiency in PowerShell scripting for automation.Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix).Understanding of network fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs).Knowledge of ITIL practices and change management processes is a plus.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Detail-oriented and customer-focused.Bachelor’s DegreeRequired Technical SkillsActive DirectoryWindows Server managementVMware administration and maintenance
