If that kind of work moves you, keep reading.Overview:We are looking for an experienced Family Law Paralegal who is ready to own their caseload, communicate directly with clients, and make things happen without being micromanaged. This is a high-responsibility position at a growing firm where your work is visible and your contribution matters from day one. You will work closely with our family law attorneys supporting active litigation, document preparation, and client communication across Miami-Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties.Responsibilities:Draft pleadings, motions, subpoenas, interrogatories, deposition notices, affidavits, and correspondence under attorney supervisionCompile, organize, and redact discovery documents; manage physical and digital case filesCommunicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and judicial assistants regarding case status and schedulingCoordinate and schedule hearings, depositions, and mediation sessionsAssist attorneys in trial preparation including exhibit organization, witness coordination, and file reviewPrepare and file court documents electronically through Florida's e-filing portalMaintain accurate, detailed billing entries for all legal tasks performedManage case records in MyCase (our practice management platform)Support Zoom hearings and remote proceedings as neededHandle general administrative tasks including answering phones and supporting client intakeExperience:Minimum 3 years of Florida family law paralegal experience - this is required, not preferredStrong working knowledge of Florida Rules of Family Law Procedure and court filing requirementsExcellent written and verbal communication skills; you can write a professional client email and also pick up the phone without hesitationProficiency in legal drafting, document preparation, and discovery managementExceptional organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple matters simultaneously without dropping the ballComfortable working independently in a fast-paced boutique environmentExperience with MyCase or a comparable practice management platform preferredCompletion of a nationally-accredited paralegal program strongly preferredBilingual in Spanish/English or Haitian Creole/English strongly preferred - we serve a diverse SouthBenefits:$52-62k DOEHealth InsuranceDental Insurance401(K) + MatchingPaid Time OffLife InsuranceFree ParkingWhy JP Law Group:Boutique firm - you are not a number.
