Cost Accountant IIILocation: Milpitas, CA (Hybrid – Onsite Mon/Wed/Thurs, Remote Tues/Fri)Duration: 12-month contract (potential to extend to ~15 months and/or convert)Pay: $50-55/HROverviewOur client, a global leader in data storage solutions, is seeking an experienced Accountant III to support a high-visibility special project within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role will focus on cost accounting, ERP system support, and core accounting functions, while partnering cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and operational efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain and analyze standard costs, bills of materials (BOMs), routings, and manufacturing assumptionsPerform inventory valuation and cost variance analysis; investigate and resolve discrepanciesSupport ERP system implementation, including data preparation, validation, testing, and documentationBackfill subject matter expert (SME) responsibilities such as standard cost updates, OCOGS reporting, and inventory reconciliationsAssist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial data and reportingComplete ad hoc projects and assignments as neededRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field3–5 years of experience in cost accounting or manufacturing accountingStrong understanding of cost accounting principlesHands-on ERP experience related to product costing (Oracle and/or SAP)Advanced proficiency in Microsoft ExcelStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skillsPlease submit your resume in Word or PDF format to be considered.
