Saw & Shear Operator

1st Shift Saw & Shear Operator Reports to – Saw & Shear Supervisor Essential Duties – Set-up, operation, quality control, and light maintenance of production saw and shear machinery Receiving, inspecting, cataloguing, and transporting of both bundled engineered bar and cut billets used in the forging process Housekeeping needs in the Saw/Shear department Reviews work orders to determine daily need for materials Completes all production documentation and reviews set-up sheets for pertinent instructions Removes samples periodically and weighs them to verify billets are correct weight Operates lift truck to manage billet inventory External qualifications required - Ability to pass 5-panel drug screen, urine or saliva through the staffing company Reliable Transportation Internal qualifications required - Mandatory Company Orientation Safety Policy & Procedure Must pass the following tests upon direct hire: Lift 50 pounds 20/40 vision, corrective lenses allowed 9-panel drug screen, urine or saliva Viking Forge is one of the largest closed die forging companies in the United States.
