Our client has been operating for nearly two decades, runs a significant paid media operation, and is looking for a senior performance marketing leader to own it. This is a hands-on leadership role with full accountability for Google Ads performance across Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display. You will own CPL, lead quality, and downstream revenue metrics, partnering directly with executive leadership on strategy and budget allocation. The intake and call center functions report into marketing, giving this role direct influence over the full funnel from first click to closed case.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, manage, and optimize Google Ads campaigns across Search, Performance Max, YouTube, and Display with a focus on lead volume, lead quality, CPL, and cost-per-case performanceStructure campaigns with disciplined account architecture, keyword strategy, audience layering, bidding logic, and negative managementExecute structured testing roadmaps across ad copy, bidding strategies, landing pages, and targeting to drive measurable efficiency gainsMonitor daily pacing, budget delivery, and performance volatility, proactively identifying and resolving inefficienciesEnsure accurate tracking and attribution across GA4, GTM, call tracking platforms, and CRM integrationsTroubleshoot lead flow issues, pixel discrepancies, tagging errors, and routing problems in partnership with analytics and intake teamsAnalyze full-funnel performance from click to call to qualified to closed and deliver actionable optimization recommendationsCollaborate with creative teams to guide messaging, offers, and asset requests based on performance data and search intentDeliver clear reporting on spend, leads, CPL, projections, and down-funnel insights to leadershipLead and grow a team of 5 direct reports, with plans to scale to 8Qualifications8+ years of hands-on Google Ads experience in a lead generation or high-intent acquisition environmentStrong command of Search, Performance Max, YouTube, Display, and automated bidding strategies (tCPA, tROAS, value-based bidding)Minimum M monthly ad spend under management with direct ROI accountability; experience at higher spend levels preferredProficiency in GA4, Google Tag Manager, and troubleshooting attribution or tracking discrepanciesExperience in call-based or intake-driven environments where lead quality materially impacts revenue2-3+ years at the Director level at a company with meaningful revenue scaleAbility to operate independently in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with demanding leadershipExperience with advanced attribution models a plusBenefitsFirm-paid Medical HMO with affordable upgrade optionsFirm-paid Life and AD&D insuranceLow-cost Dental and Vision plans401(k)FSA and EAPPet insurancePaid time off and paid holidaysEmployee referral bonus programTeam outings and sponsored eventsOpportunities for growth and advancementAbout TalentoHC Build Your Best Team Yet TalentoHC is a global executive search and human capital consulting firm helping organizations build high-performing leadership teams that drive growth and transformation.
