Job title – Director of OperationsJob type – Full-timePosition OverviewWe’re a growing, family-owned company with big goals—and we’re looking for a high-impact Director of Operations who’s excited to develop and lead our Florida branchWe are seeking an experienced and results-driven individual to lead and oversee all operational functions of our Florida branch location This individual will serve as a key leader within the organization, responsible for managing daily operations, driving profitability, improving efficiencies, overseeing field and office teams, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget.The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong construction operations experience, exceptional organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple departments while fostering a high-performance culture.Where You’ll WorkThis position is based out of our Orlando, Florida location.What you’ll do:Operational LeadershipDirect and oversee all day-to-day operations for asphalt paving, milling, site work, and related construction activitiesManage branch operations as a fully accountable business unit leaderDevelop operational strategies to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfactionCoordinate scheduling of crews, equipment, subcontractors, and materialsMonitor project performance and proactively address operational challengesProject & Production ManagementEnsure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within scope, and within budgetReview project timelines, manpower allocation, production targets, and resource utilizationCollaborate with estimating and project management teams during pre-construction planningMonitor job costing, production reports, change orders, and project profitabilityOversee quality control standards and ensure workmanship meets company expectationsTeam Leadership & DevelopmentLead, mentor, and develop superintendents, project managers, foremen, shop personnel, and administrative staffEstablish accountability standards and performance expectations across departmentsConduct regular operational meetings and performance reviewsAssist with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and workforce development initiativesPromote a positive, solutions-oriented company cultureFinancial OversightAssist in preparing and managing operational budgetsAnalyze financial reports, labor costs, equipment utilization, and overall branch performanceIdentify opportunities for cost savings and operational improvementsSupport executive leadership in forecasting and strategic planningSafety & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to OSHA regulations and company safety policiesPromote and maintain a strong safety-first culture across all operationsOversee compliance with DOT regulations, environmental standards, and company proceduresParticipate in incident investigations and corrective action planningClient & Vendor RelationsMaintain strong relationships with customers, municipalities, general contractors, suppliers, and subcontractorsSupport business development efforts and assist in maintaining long-term client partnershipsAddress customer concerns professionally and efficientlyYou’ll be a great fit if you have:10+ years of experience in asphalt, paving, or general constructionExperience overseeing multiple branches or divisionsKnowledge of DOT/public works paving projectsBackground in equipment management and fleet utilizationOSHA certifications or safety training credentialsBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred but not requiredU.S. Equal Opportunity Employment Information:Individuals seeking employment are considered without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, physical or mental disability, veteran status, gender identity, or sexual orientation.Benefits: We're thrilled to offer our full-time employees with a healthy benefits package including Health, Life, and Dental Insurances.
