Project EngineerRequired Skills Experience Education • Bachelors Degree in engineering with 2+years experience in engineering or project management, OR • Masters Degree in engineering with 0+ years experience (Fresh out of School)Preferred Skills/Experience (These are a plus, or "nice to have", not required): • Project/Function Management Engineering Experience • Experience leading or managing a team for execution of a program or in support of a functional skillset • Exceptional interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment; willingness to accept responsibility and take initiative; and drive to finish assigned tasks on scheduleOverview of Role: As a Project Engineer you will be responsible to provide technical support to an extended, multi-functional integrated product team (IPT) to apply a systems approach to the realization of a new system or the modification of an existing one, define, plan, monitor, control and deliver managed change (including new solutions) to meet all agreed stakeholder requirements, and plan and deliver verification programs.Duties: • Prepare cost and schedule estimates, manage project control accounts, and support development product and sub-system build and test activities • Plan, manage, and develop sub-system certification/qualification plans and participate in product introduction gated reviews allocate requirements to major sub-systems • Responsible for managing major manufacturing or engineering subcontracts for design-make components and coordinating experiments including instrumentation and data analysis requirements. • Define the necessary resource to achieve stakeholder requirements, and negotiate with resource managers, in conjunction with Work Package Manager (WPO) and Sub-System Manager (SSM), and Integrated Product Team Lead (IPTL) to balance load and capacity across the IPT. • Ensure project risks (technical, cost, supply chain and timescale) are identified, managed (including integration of risk activities in project plan), and escalated in accordance with risk management plan. • Understand experiments/test requirement and turn them into test schedules and subsequently test instructions
