LECGI is looking for a Structural Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in structural design in the industrial field, proficiency in AutoCAD, and the ability to follow instructions. Candidate with Building Information Modeling (BIM) experience is a plus. Training will be provided on related design software and BIM software for structural steel. Responsibilities and Duties Perform structural calculations, design, and detailing for structural building elements, based on current building codes and specifications Review and interpret technical documents and designs Correspond directly with clients, design professionals and contractors Prepare AutoCAD drawings and/or 3D model to present design and details of structures Coordinate with designer and detailer to create drawings Will be required to follow and be knowledgeable of all company standards, policies and procedures Responsible for completing jobs on time based on the project schedule Good planning and organizational skills required for fast paced environment Ability to work under pressure and adhere to strict deadlines Willing to work overtime when requested Qualifications and Skills Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Civil Engineering with focus in Structural Engineering Minimum 3 years experience in Structural Design/ Structural Engineering in Industrial Field Must be a certified Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) is a plus Ability to read and interpret construction plans and documents Ability to compute quantities and verify measurements and layouts Good organizational skills with strong attention to detail Able to both work independently and work effectively in a team environment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Proficient with MS Office (Excel & Word) and CAD software (AutoCAD) 3D modeling experience using Tekla structures or another 3D BIM program is a plus Knowledge or experience with steel detailing is a plus Benefits 401(k) with matching and profit-sharing Cover 100% employee health insurance premium Paid time off Professional development assistance *Sponsorships are available to both foreign employees seeking temporary rights to work and those seeking permanent citizenship.
