Overview In this role you will build and optimize advanced data and application solutions using Spark-based data processing, Power Platform, and BI tooling within Azure. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable data pipelines, analytics, and integrative apps (OutSystems) that drive business insights and automated workflows. The position emphasizes cloud-native development, CI/CD practices, and secure API-enabled services. This is a hands-on role at the intersection of data engineering, low-code development, and analytics, with a focus on delivering impactful, scalable solutions. ResponsibilitiesDevelop and optimize data processing pipelines using Apache Spark (PySpark/Scala) and Spark SQL.Leverage Databricks and Delta Lake for reliable data lake and lakehouse workloads.Build applications within OutSystems (Reactive/Traditional Web) and integrate with Power Platform components.Design and deliver BI solutions in Power BI with DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic modeling.Work with relational databases (Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and implement data modeling concepts.Develop backend/API services using Python or C#, and manage cloud deployments on Azure.Contribute to CI/CD workflows using Git, Azure DevOps, and GitHub, ensuring code quality and automation. Key requirements5-10 years' experience required.Hands-on experience with Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, or Spark SQL).Proficiency with Databricks, Delta Lake, and notebook-based development.Experience developing applications within OutSystems, including Reactive and/or Traditional Web development.Strong experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and integrating Power Platform components.Proficiency in developing BI solutions with Power BI, including DAX, Power Query (M), and semantic modeling.Strong SQL skills with Azure SQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL.Experience with data modeling concepts (conceptual, logical, physical, star schema, lakehouse).Working knowledge of backend/API development using Python or C#.Experience in cloud environments (Azure strongly preferred).Understanding of CI/CD processes and version control (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub).Apache Spark (PySpark, Scala, Spark SQL)DatabricksDelta LakeOutSystemsPower AppsPower Automate
