Claims Operations Specialist

SefraTallahassee, FLJune 3rd, 2026
About SefraWe're a small, early team in New York building software for E&S (excess & surplus) third-party administrators. We're trying to take the manual document and paperwork load off adjusters, and to do that well we need to actually understand the job. That's where you come in.Most of this role is sitting with someone who's done the work and learning how it really happens before we try to build anything. What you'd doShow us how a claim moves start to finish: intake, working the file, accept/delay/deny, the letters and notices going both ways, paying out of the loss fund, and the follow-up that never ends.Point at where the hours disappear. The pile of reports, bills, medical records, legal notices, and auth requests in every format from every provider. The 100-page document where two pages matter. The endless clicks to send one letter. Holding this month's file up against last month's to spot what moved.Actually do the work with us on real claims so we see it instead of hearing about it.Call our work garbage when it's garbage. If what we pulled or drafted wouldn't pass with you, tell us.Who we're looking forYou've worked claims at a TPA or carrier: adjuster, examiner, claims assistant, or bill reviewer.Workers' comp, general liability, property, professional lines, whatever. We want to learn across E&S.You know the paperwork cold and you know which parts of the job suck.Multi-state experience is a plus, not a must.No tech background needed. We want someone who knows the work.LogisticsHourly contract, $25 to $40/hr depending on experience. Remote, flexible hours, open to more if it clicks.
