Software Test Engineer

Commission test systems and integrate subsystems to meet complex testing requirements. Troubleshoot complex problems and develop solutions with appropriate input. Must be able to take charge of projects and drive to completion while working with the project team. Ownership of large complex test systems. Job Responsibilities: Act as liaison and company representative with customers Commission test cells including:setup and troubleshoot test and measurement systems implement and tune complex control loops integrate auxiliary equipment into test system setup monitoring and control of relevant safeties create commissioning documentation obtain customer sign-off Provide training on system applications Write and implement advanced custom tests Mentor less experienced engineers Provide sales technical support Provide project engineering technical support Help desk consultation Develop and present training Requires travel up to 25%-50% Required Qualifications: Software programming experience Thorough knowledge of PC operation, structure, MS Windows, and computer networking required Strong mechanical/electrical/electronic troubleshooting experience Data acquisition and control system knowledge PID control setup and tuning Understanding of electrical and mechanical processes Experience with IC Engines and/or Electrification Systems development and testing Able to read and understand electrical and mechanical schematics and drawings Understanding of IC Engines and/or Electrification Systems Understanding of instrumentation and electrical practices Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering or equivalent preferred Seven years of experience in test automation equipment preferred Job Type: Full-time Schedule: 8 hour shift Ability to commute/relocate: Auburn Hills, MI 48326: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: SQL: 1 year (Preferred) Selenium: 1 year (Preferred) Test automation: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
