Immigration Paralegal
Cordero & Associates is currently seeking an experienced Immigration Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role focuses on assisting clients with various employment-based and family-based immigration matters, with a specific emphasis on PERM cases. We are looking for a candidate who is dedicated to achieving favorable outcomes for our clients and has a minimum of three years of experience in immigration law.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparing and filing immigration petitions and applications for employment-based cases, including immigrant and nonimmigrant visas, labor certification, family-based applications, and citizenship.
- Prepare various immigration forms, including but not limited to I-140, I-539, I-130, I-485, and I-864.
- Communicate effectively with clients to gather necessary information and documentation.
- Maintain organized case files and ensure all documentation is accurate and current.
- Draft legal correspondence, forms, and other documents as required.
- Monitor deadlines and track important dates related to cases to ensure timely submissions.
- Maintain professional and timely communication with clients throughout the process.
Requirements:
- Minimum of three years of experience in immigration law.
- Familiarity with various immigration form types (I-140, I-539, I-130, I-485, I-864) is essential.
- Fluency in Spanish is required; proficiency in reading and writing in both English and Spanish is essential for effective client interactions.
-Experience handling Labor Certification cases.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
- Detail-oriented approach to preparing filings and support letters with a focus on accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment while managing individual responsibilities.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
