Electrical Engineering Manager – Power DistributionChicago, IL (Onsite)Salary: $140,000 – $165,000We are seeking an experienced electrical engineering leader to take ownership of our UL 67 panelboard platform, driving design, certification, and manufacturing readiness from concept through production.This role is responsible for setting engineering direction, ensuring compliance, and building scalable product and process standards that support reliable manufacturing.Key Responsibilities:Lead design and development of panelboard systems (electrical schematics, bus design, enclosures)Establish engineering standards, documentation, and modular product structuresEnsure compliance with UL 67, NEC, and related industry standardsOwn and manage UL certification processes and testing coordinationTranslate engineering designs into manufacturable solutionsPartner with manufacturing teams to improve production efficiency and product qualitySupport product launches, pilot builds, and continuous improvement initiativesCollaborate cross-functionally with operations, supply chain, and commercial teamsQualifications:5+ years of experience in electrical engineering within power distribution, panelboards, or switchgearStrong understanding of electrical systems and componentsExperience working in or closely with manufacturing environmentsCAD proficiency (SolidWorks, Autodesk, or equivalent)Experience with UL or NRTL certification processes preferredAbility to lead technical direction and cross-functional collaborationLocation: Chicago, IL (K-Town Business Centre) – onsiteThis role offers the opportunity to take ownership of a critical product platform and drive both engineering excellence and real-world manufacturing impact.
