The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the compliance program is in line with federal and state requirements, as well as internal governance frameworks. This pivotal role involves close collaboration with legal, operations, finance, risk, and senior leadership, and requires a strong ability to coordinate across a matrixed compliance structure. Key responsibilities include maintaining the U.S. compliance program, monitoring regulatory developments, overseeing regulatory filings and interactions, and managing compliance risk assessments. The Head of US Compliance will also be instrumental in guiding compliance staff, promoting stakeholder relationships, and ensuring that all compliance obligations are effectively controlled within the firm's governance systems. Applicants for the Head of US Compliance position at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' of compliance or legal experience in the insurance or reinsurance sector, with a JD being preferred. A deep understanding of U.S. insurance regulatory frameworks and NAIC standards is essential. The role demands excellent communication, analytical, and project management skills, as well as the ability to influence senior stakeholders and manage complex regulatory matters. The ideal candidate will be adept at conducting impact assessments, gap analysis, and leading the implementation of new regulatory requirements.
