We're Hiring: Junior Electrical Engineer | Milpitas, CAAuriga Corporation is seeking a motivated and talented Junior Electrical Engineer to join our team in Milpitas, California.For more than 35 years, Auriga has provided engineering, design, project management, and consulting services to electric utilities, municipal power agencies, transit organizations, government agencies, and infrastructure clients throughout California and internationally. Our work includes power transmission and distribution systems, substations, protection and control systems, SCADA, telecommunications, and utility infrastructure projects.This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who wants hands-on experience working alongside senior engineers on real-world utility and infrastructure projects.What You'll Do⚡ Support the engineering and design of electric power transmission, distribution, and substation projects⚡ Assist with protection and control system design, relay settings, and engineering studies⚡ Prepare single-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and substation layouts⚡ Assist with electrical equipment specifications, design calculations, and construction documents⚡ Participate in field inspections, site investigations, commissioning support, and quality assurance activities⚡ Support project planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and technical documentation⚡ Work with multidisciplinary teams on utility modernization, grid reliability, SCADA, communications, and infrastructure improvement projects⚡ Coordinate with utility clients, contractors, and project stakeholders to support successful project deliveryQualifications✔ Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's Degree preferred)✔ 2–3 years of engineering experience in electric utility, power systems, industrial, or related electrical engineering fields✔ Knowledge of power systems, substations, transmission and distribution systems, or protection and control concepts✔ Familiarity with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and engineering design tools✔ Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills✔ U.S. Citizen or Permanent ResidentWhy Auriga?At Auriga, you will work directly with experienced industry professionals on projects supporting electric utilities, municipal agencies, transportation systems, and critical infrastructure.
