Qualifications Valid Driver's license (must able to operate a manual vehicle) Ability to work with a team Minimum 2 years experience Confident with all aspects of automotive repairs Current Driver's License Current PA Inspection License Must have own personal set of quality tools Benefits Bonus Pay Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week (Monday-Friday, Rotational Saturday) Employee discount On-the-job training Paid Vacation Health Insurance Responsibilities Diagnose cause of any malfunction and perform and document repair Perform work as specified on repair orders with efficiency and accuracy Notify Service Advisor immediately if repairs cannot be completed within the time promised Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts Keep shop area organized and clean Comply to company safety policies and procedures Test drive manual/auto vehicles to diagnose problems/confirm repair Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using advanced automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues accurately. Repair and maintain various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems, and powertrain components. Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and suspension repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot complex electrical and mechanical problems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and specialized automotive repair tools to complete repairs efficiently. Service vehicles by replacing parts, performing routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake inspections, and fluid checks. Collaborate with service advisors to provide accurate auto estimating and communicate repair progress clearly to customers. Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background working on GM vehicles is highly preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Familiarity with ADAS calibration, schematics interpretation, and electrical systems troubleshooting. Experience working on diesel engines, transmissions, powertrain components, and performing wheel alignments. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive maintenance tools. Service technician experience demonstrating excellent customer service skills and the ability to explain technical issues clearly. Knowledge of auto estimating processes combined with a solid understanding of automotive electrical systems is a plus.
