Data Analyst

Data AnalystCrystal City, VAOnsite, 5 days per weekMarathon TS is seeking a Data Analyst to support our client, U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP), onsite in Crystal City, VA. This role will support data-informed decision-making through data collection, analysis, reporting, dashboard development, and business intelligence. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with Tableau and Microsoft Power BI and the ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights for operational and executive stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesCollect, integrate, validate, and analyze data from multiple sources to support operational and organizational decision-making.Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and data visualizations using Tableau and Power BI.Identify trends, patterns, relationships, performance drivers, and actionable insights within operational data.Establish and evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs), performance metrics, and analytical frameworks.Conduct data-driven studies, assessments, and analyses to support resource allocation, operational improvement, planning, and management decisions.Apply quantitative and qualitative analytical techniques to assess organizational and operational performance.Develop executive-ready reports, presentations, visualizations, and recommendations that clearly communicate analytical findings.Support data governance, data quality, validation, and reporting processes to improve data accuracy, accessibility, and transparency.Collaborate with stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and develop effective business intelligence and decision-support solutions.Support process improvement initiatives and apply analytical best practices to improve organizational effectiveness and efficiency.Assist with knowledge transfer and training activities to promote data-informed operations and effective use of analytical tools.Required QualificationsU.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a federal Public Trust.Bachelor's degree.3+ years of relevant experience in data analysis, business intelligence, reporting, dashboard development, or data visualization.Hands-on experience with Tableau.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI.Experience developing dashboards, reports, scorecards, KPIs, and data visualizations.Experience analyzing data to identify trends and support business or operational decision-making.Strong communication skills with the ability to present analytical findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to work onsite in Crystal City, VA, five days per week.Preferred Qualifications5-10 years of relevant experience for senior-level consideration.Active CBP clearance or suitability strongly preferred.Current or previous experience supporting CBP.Active clearance or suitability with another Department of Homeland Security (DHS) component, including ICE, TSA, or USCIS.Active DoD clearance.Previous experience supporting federal government programs or mission environments.Experience with data governance, data quality, performance management, or process improvement methodologies.Familiarity with Six Sigma or DMAIC methodologies.Marathon TS is committed to the development of a creative, diverse and inclusive work environment.
