COMPANY PROFILE:Family-owned HVAC company based in CastrovilleCommercial AC and heating across TexasResidential maintenance and repair services in San Antonio and surrounding areasCOMPENSATION and BENEFITS:Salary up to $140,000Company subsidized medical and dental insuranceCompany paid life insuranceEmployee paid vision, and short- and long-term disability insurancePTO 15 days plus 6 paid holidays401(K) 100% match up to 4% eligible after 6 months of employmentROLE WITH THE COMPANY:The Controller is responsible for full cycle financial accounting functions including monthly close cycle, financial analysis, financial reporting, and budgeting. Hands-on leader managing accounting functions in accordance with GAAP and providing the executive team with timely financial results.Coordinate, administer, and control full financial operationsManage working capitalOversee cash management activities and forecast cash requirementsPrepare monthly financial statementsReview general ledger and complete supporting reconciliations and journal entriesManage staff: Accounting, Office Management, HR, Payroll, AP, AR, Inventory, Procurement, and IT functions Perform cost accounting activities to include reconciling job cost to the general ledger and preparation of the monthly WIP schedule.Oversee in-house payroll function including commission reports and serve as backup.Prepare and submit quarterly and annual payroll tax reports. Prepare annual filing of W-2's and Forms 1094-C and 1095-C (Affordable Care Act).Review open service management workorders.Lead annual budget development process and perform monthly variance analysisDevelop and maintain financial models for forecasting, analysis, etc.Work with CPA firm on all tax filings and annual financial reviewManage all insurance and regulatory reporting to include preparing workpapers for annual audits of workers compensation and general liability insurances. Participate in insurance renewals for employee benefits and company insurance..
