Job Title: Senior MEP Engineer (PE – Texas) | Division LeadLocation: Remote (Work from Home) with Required TravelCompany: GreenWorks Engineering & DesignPosition OverviewGreenWorks Engineering & Design is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Licensed Professional Engineer (PE – State of Texas required) to establish and lead our Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) division.This is a unique opportunity to build a division from the ground up in a flexible, work-from-home environment, while playing a critical leadership role in the company’s growth. The ideal candidate combines strong technical expertise with an entrepreneurial mindset and leadership capability.Key ResponsibilitiesDivision Leadership & GrowthBuild, develop, and lead the MEP division from inceptionEstablish design standards, workflows, and QA/QC proceduresRecruit, mentor, and manage future MEP team membersWork closely with company leadership on strategic growth initiativesEngineering & DesignLead the design of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems across various project typesPrepare and review plans, specifications, and calculationsEnsure compliance with all applicable codes and standards (IBC, NEC, ASHRAE, etc.)Coordinate with internal and external design teamsProject & Client ManagementManage projects from concept through constructionServe as Engineer of Record for applicable projects in TexasCommunicate directly with clients, contractors, and regulatory agenciesMaintain project schedules, budgets, and quality standardsBusiness DevelopmentAssist in proposal development, fee estimates, and client presentationsIdentify opportunities to expand MEP servicesBuild and maintain strong client relationshipsMinimum RequirementsActive Professional Engineer (PE) license in the State of Texas (REQUIRED)Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related engineering discipline8+ years of MEP design experienceProven experience managing projects and coordinating across disciplinesStrong knowledge of relevant codes and standardsProficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and/or other design softwareWork EnvironmentRemote / Work-from-home positionTravel required for site visits, client meetings, and project coordination as neededPreferred QualificationsExperience building or leading a department or teamStrong client-facing and business development experienceExperience in [customize: municipal, commercial, industrial, etc.]Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient design practicesKey AttributesEntrepreneurial and self-drivenStrong leadership and decision-making skillsExcellent communication and organizational abilitiesAbility to thrive in a remote, flexible work environmentWhat We OfferOpportunity to build and lead a new divisionFlexible remote work environmentCompetitive compensation + performance incentivesCareer growth and leadership opportunity
