Flat Cutter Operator

We offer a range of services, covering everything from die-cutting and lamination to binding and hand finishing, with the ability to handle projects of any size or quantity. We are looking for a skilled Flat Cutter Operator to join our growing team! We have openings on 1st and 2nd Shifts! Job Responsibilities Reads and understands job jacket. Brings the job to be cut and sets up the cutter. Obtains the OK from the supervisor. Loads the cutter and cuts as quickly and efficiently as possible when cutting and checks for offsetting-draw-mixed sheets. Pulls quality sheets and places them in corrugated. Ensures all forms are kept separate. Notifies supervisor immediately if there is a problem. Switches out the recycling bins. Marks skids or boxes with descriptions. Changes blades as directed or needed. Maintains a clean and safe work area. Follows all safety and quality procedures. Reports all mechanical and safety issues to supervisor. Performs additional duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet quotas and deadlines. Must be able to lift 40 pounds at times. Essential Qualifications Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred. Must be available to work overtime and/or weekends as needed. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Education and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred. At least one year of related experience required. General understanding of mechanics and tools required. Strong math skills. Working Conditions Work will be performed in our manufacturing warehouse which requires mobility within the production work area. Exposure to constant and intermittent sounds of machinery in a production environment. Prolonged periods of standing and walking. Compensation Compensation for this position will be based on the knowledge and experience of each candidate.
