Production Control Coordinator
Allocor.tech is a fast-growing company developing advanced power electronics and autonomous systems. We design and build high-voltage motor controllers and lithium-ion battery systems for next-generation autonomous platforms. Our environment is technically demanding and fast-paced. We are looking for disciplined professionals who take ownership and deliver results.
The Opportunity
We are hiring a Production Control Coordinator to own the flow of customer orders from production commit through final shipment. This is a critical cross-functional role focused on keeping materials, assemblies, quality checks, and shipping schedules aligned so we consistently meet our on-time delivery (OTD) commitments.
You will be the central point of visibility and accountability for order status on the production floor. This role requires strong influence without authority, exceptional follow-through, and the willingness to surface issues early.
Key Responsibilities
Order Flow & Lifecycle Tracking
Own the full lifecycle of every customer order from initial production commit through packaging and final shipment.
Maintain a live, accurate, and undisputed picture of work-in-progress (WIP), back orders, and at-risk commitments.
Take full accountability for On-Time Delivery (OTD) performance and drive daily execution to meet customer commitments.
Cross-Functional Coordination
Lead daily coordination across procurement, inventory, assembly, rework, and quality to keep orders moving without friction.
Proactively identify material shortfalls, bottlenecks, and capacity constraints and escalate risks to leadership early.
Track partial, paused, and back-ordered jobs to completion with relentless follow-through.
Provide clear, real-time shipping visibility to leadership and commercial teams.
What Success Looks Like
30 Days: Complete a full audit of all active, paused, and back-ordered jobs and establish a clean, accurate baseline tracking system.
60 Days: Run an efficient daily cross-functional sync that catches and resolves bottlenecks before they impact customer ship dates.
90 Days: Demonstrate measurable improvement in OTD with zero orders slipping past promised dates without early escalation.
Requirements
5+ years of experience coordinating production flow, scheduling, expediting, or material movement in a manufacturing or assembly environment.
Experience with Fishbowl, ERP, MRP, or digital inventory systems.
Proven track record of systematically closing out incomplete, hanging, or back-ordered jobs.
Strong ability to influence across teams without direct authority.
Excellent attention to detail and systems thinking.
Direct and proactive communication style — comfortable surfacing issues early.
U.S. Person status required (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual per ITAR) due to export-controlled drone hardware.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in scaling hardware manufacturing (electronics, electromechanical, automotive, or aerospace preferred).
Familiarity with visual factory controls or Kanban systems.
Based in or willing to work on-site in the Waynesboro, VA area.
