This role is responsible for defining and executing a communications strategy that supports business priorities, reinforces brand trust, and engages our global community.Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this role serves as a strategic advisor to the executive team, shaping Poshmark’s narrative across corporate, consumer, and internal communications. The role blends strategic vision with hands-on leadership and is key to protecting and elevating Poshmark’s reputation.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and lead a communications strategy spanning corporate, consumer, executive, and internal communicationsAdvise the executive team on high-impact, sensitive communicationsManage and develop the Social Team, including 1 direct report and their team, along with the external agency partnership.Create KPIs and measurement frameworks to assess communications impactOwn Poshmark’s external narrative and ensure compelling storytellingLead media relations and build relationships with key mediaDevelop and execute executive thought leadership programsLead crisis communications and partner with Legal and leadershipOversee PR agencies and vendorsDesign and execute an internal communications strategyPartner with CEO and leadership on internal messaging and change communicationsEnsure internal communications reinforce culture, values, and priorities6-Month AccomplishmentsAssess and refine communications strategies and messagingDevelop a strategy for engaging agency partnersBuild relationships with executive leadership and partnersDefine a clear communications roadmap with success metricsStrengthen media relationships and identify storytelling opportunitiesImplement a regular internal communications cadence12-Month AccomplishmentsShow measurable improvements in brand visibility and media qualityPosition Poshmark executives as thought leadersLead communications through a high-impact moment (e.g., product launch or crisis)Deliver a mature internal communications frameworkRequirementsBachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, marketing, PR, English, or related field12–15 years of experience in communications or PR, preferably in consumer-facing, retail, fashion, or tech companiesExpertise in both external and internal communications, including executive and crisis communicationsExperience leading and developing teamsStrong executive presence and ability to influence senior leadershipPreferred: mix of in-house and agency experience
