Database Architect

Position Database Architect Location: Hybrid - St Paul, MN Duration: 12 Months Job Summary Design, develop, and implement relational and non-relational databases, data lakes, and cloud-based data platforms, primarily in Azure. Lead technical initiatives, collaborating with stakeholders across various divisions and organizational levels. Architect and manage enterprise data solutions using Azure services such as Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Databricks. Develop and implement data transformation and cloud infrastructure integration solutions. Utilize CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub) and Agile project tracking tools (Jira) for efficient project delivery. Code, test, and deploy data loading scripts and programs using Azure data utilities. Mentor team members on database technologies, cloud tools, and best practices. Administer backup, recovery, security, and access controls, including role-based access, encryption, and network security. Monitor and optimize database performance using tools like Azure Monitor, SQL Analytics, and Query Performance Insight. Manage and support Oracle databases and Teradata Data Warehouse environments as needed. Apply knowledge of data concepts, modeling, schema design, and indexing strategies for optimal database performance. Ensure compliance with organizational standards and support continuous improvement in data architecture and management. Stay current with cloud computing concepts and emerging Azure technologies. Demonstrate strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
