Together, we advance your career.THE ROLE:We are looking for a motivated Hardware and Rack Integration Engineer (L11) to help shape the future of next-generation rack products. In this role, you will lead the design, integration, and validation of rack-level solutions that power large-scale data center environments. You'll work closely with engineering, manufacturing, program management, procurement, and customer-facing teams to ensure our racks meet the highest standards of performance, scalability, and quality. A detail-oriented team player, you balance technical rigor with flexibility, making you effective in both execution and cross-functional collaboration.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead the design, development, and integration of new rack products, specifications, networking and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Partner with program management to drive schedules, track milestones, and ensure alignment with business objectives.Support cross-functional teams (Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Procurement, Program Management) and customers from Engineering Validation Test (EVT) through Production Validation Test (PVT).Collaborate with design, supply chain, and operations teams to align technical requirements with program goals.Analyze technical specifications and documentation to ensure compliance with design requirements.Own rack integration activities including testing, troubleshooting, and hands-on support during product ramp-up.Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, test reports, and status updates for traceability and compliance.Provide training and technical guidance to internal teams and system integrators.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:Hands-on experience with rack-level hardware design, integration, cable networking and troubleshooting.Familiarity with servers, rack systems, and network technologies.Knowledge of mechanical, networking, manufacturing, and quality engineering principles.Experience collaborating with program management on project tracking, deliverables, and milestone execution.Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with Agile PLM or SAP preferred.Familiarity with CAD tools such as Creo or SolidWorks preferred.Strong organizational and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or Product Design Engineering preferred.This role is not eligible for sponsorship#LI-TL1Benefits offered are described: AMD benefits at a glance.AMD does not accept unsolicited resumes from headhunters, recruitment agencies, or fee-based recruitment services.
