Temporary Parks Maintenance

Position Summary:Parks & Recreation Department is seeking to fill the position of Temporary Parks MaintenanceOperates light to medium equipment including mowers, tractors, loaders, aerators, and small trucksPerforms routine grounds maintenance: mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, and weed controlMaintains athletic fields, including lining, dragging, seeding, and general field preparationSupports park and facility upkeep including painting, cleaning, minor repairs, and general custodial workAssists with tree care including pruning, planting, and debris removalPicks up and disposes of litter, brush, and debris throughout parks and roadwaysLoads, unloads, and transports materials such as sand, soil, stone, and equipmentAssists with set-up and breakdown of special events, including field layout, parking, and crowd supportCleans, services, and maintains park amenities including restrooms and public use areasAssists skilled staff with basic construction, repair, and maintenance projects (fencing, signage, playgrounds, etc.)Performs general labor tasks in support of parks, recreation facilities, and public works operationsFollows all safety procedures and maintains a clean, organized work environmentPerforms other related duties as assignedThis role is anticipated to last 3-6 months and pays $17.50 per hour.
