Flooring Warehouse Associate

Job Description We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Shop Worker to join our fabrication team, with a strong focus on binding, serging, and custom area rug production. This role is ideal for someone with previous floor covering shop experience and/or carpet installation background who enjoys hands‐on work and takes pride in producing high‐quality finished products. Key ResponsibilitiesOperate binding and serging machines to fabricate custom area rugs and runnersMeasure, cut, and prepare carpet and broadloom for custom fabricationProduce clean, straight, professional‐quality edges and finishesInspect materials and finished goods to ensure quality and accuracyAssist with special requests such as custom sizes, shapes, and stair runnersMaintain equipment, tools, and a clean, organized shop workspaceLoad, unload, and move rolls of carpet and finished rugs as neededCollaborate with installers, sales staff, and other shop personnel to meet deadlines Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious flooring shop or carpet installation experience preferredFamiliarity with carpet handling, seams, cuts, and fabrication processesExperience with binding and/or serging machines is a strong plus (training available for the right candidate)Ability to accurately measure and work with hand and power toolsStrong attention to detail and craftsmanshipPhysically able to lift, move, and maneuver flooring materialsDependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team If you've worked in a flooring shop, warehouse, or installation crew and are comfortable handling carpet and custom projects, this is a great opportunity to work in a stable, detail‐driven environment.
