Linux Software Engineer Location: Annapolis Junction, MD

What You'll Work On Designing and developing solutions that support organizational and mission needs
Creating, maintaining, and troubleshooting Linux instances across diverse environments
Writing and modifying Python scripts to automate tasks and improve system efficiency
Automating repetitive processes using Bash and Python
Collaborating closely with a small, high-performing team
Exploring new technologies and contributing fresh ideas to improve workflows
What You Bring 7+ years of experience as a Software Engineer supporting programs of similar scope and complexity
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field Four additional years of SWE experience may be substituted for the degree
Compliance with DoD 8570.01-M, IAM Level I (CAP, CND, Cloud+, GSLC, Security+ CE, HCISPP)
Strong, recent experience with Python, including writing scripts from scratch
Experience automating tasks using Bash and Python
Self-motivation, curiosity, and a willingness to learn new technologies
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with team members and service owners
Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) Hands-on Linux server administration (configuration, patching, monitoring, troubleshooting)
Experience with Puppet or Ansible
Familiarity with AWS, including EC2 Auto Scaling
Experience using aws-cli and boto3
