Painter
JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for spraying surfaces of manufactured skid steer attachments with enamel or epoxy using an
industrial paint sprayer.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepares attachments to be painted by grinding off any additional slag, weld splatter or surface rust
Wipes down attachments and all welds with xylene prior to painting
Selects paints for desired color and prepares spraying equipment by cleaning or adjusting spray guns
Uses proper painting techniques and maintains mil thickness
Reads and understands technical documents, such as paint mixing procedures and sprayer equipment
maintenance instructions
Prioritizes production runs to maintain production schedules
Inspects all finished attachments for imperfections and overall quality
Places finished attachments on pallets; places pallets in designated assembly area
Cleans paint booth and spraying equipment daily following cleaning task checklist and replaces filters as needed
Maintains proper respiratory care using filter system and face mask equipment
Performs other tasks or duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or equivalent qualification
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and
procedure manuals
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common
fractions, and decimals
Ability to use thinking and reasoning to solve problems
Excellent time management skills to complete tasks efficiently
Excellent attention to detail
Ability to learn from mistakes and desire to improve appearance of finished product
WORKING CONDITIONS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The
employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, such as high temperatures. The noise level in
the work environment is usually moderate. The employee will be required to wear a respirator about 50% or more during their shift.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands and fingers to handle,
feel, or hold objects. The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, stoop,
kneel, crouch, climb, crawl or balance. The employee is frequently required to talk or hear. The employee is
rarely required to sit. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focus.
