This is a working coordinator role that combines hands-on custodial and maintenance responsibilities with team coordination and vendor management. The Facilities Coordinator reports directly to the Facilities Operations Manager. Responsibilities Include:Plan, coordinate, and communicate support activities with the facilities team, including staff training and performance evaluationCoordinate shift schedules to ensure on-site coverage between 7:00am and 9:00pm, Monday through Friday, with occasional variationsFacilities And Custodial SupportDevelop daily, weekly, and seasonal cleaning protocols for classrooms, restrooms, the cafeteria, kitchen, common areas, and all gathering spacesPerform custodial duties alongside team members, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, trash removal, and restroom cleaning and sanitationEnsure classrooms, offices, and common areas are cleaned daily and set up for school and office useRespond to maintenance requests and work orders promptlyMaintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and vendor servicesRepairs And MaintenanceRespond to, coordinate, and execute both planned and unplanned repairs in a timely manner based on priorityEnsure custodial equipment is well maintained and coordinate repairs as neededInstallations And AssemblyAssist with relocating large deliveries to targeted locations throughout the buildingAssemble furniture and equipment such as desks, tables, and cabinetsInstall wall fixtures including whiteboards, towel dispensers, and soap dispensersSpecial EventsCoordinate facilities support for special events hosted at the schoolWork with event coordinators to prepare spaces, including furniture setup and reconfiguration, and provide post-event cleaning and reset Preventive MaintenanceAssist the Facilities Operations Director in planning and overseeing preventive maintenance throughout the facilityConduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues and coordinate with the Facilities OperationsDirector for major repairs, including HVAC and electrical systemsVendor & Contractor ManagementCoordinate with custodial staff and outside contractorsGather bids and schedule repairs, ensuring compliance with contracts and safety regulationsSafety & ComplianceEnsure strict adherence to OSHA standards and health regulations, particularly regarding the handling and storage of cleaning chemicalsEnsure compliance with fire and safety regulationsSupport facilities and security drillsAssist in developing and updating emergency procedures and maintain safety recordsInventory & BudgetingMaintain facilities supplies inventory and order products as neededAssist the Facilities Operations Director in managing the custodial budget and procurement of supplies and equipmentPerforms other duties and special projects as assigned by the Facilities Operations Manager.Required QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
